Much better than plastic
Yes they can break but with care they will last. My problem with plastic containers is that many foods leave "dimples" or discoloration in plastic containers that are impossible to clean and can even burn holes in the microwave. So I decided to try glass containers of the same size for 2 cups and I think that although they are more expensive they will last much longer, if not forever.
