Silicone based hand straightener

I have very dry, rough hands and my constant hand washing (pandemic prevention) hasn't helped. I ordered this SilcSkin hand and body cream hoping it would improve the condition of my hands as the manufacturer claims it "moisturizes the skin and improves collagen structure". My hands feel really smooth and soothed after using this treatment; However, every time I wash my hands they get dry and papery again so this cream doesn't seem to last very long unless you reapply it every time you wash your hands. However, I can confirm that this treatment works very well on the dry skin of my elbows. At the end of the day they are as soft and supple as after applying the cream. I find this SilcSkin hand and body treatment works best when applied to damp skin after a shower; it retains moisture, and as long as you do not constantly wash all the places where you applied the cream, the effect of smoothness and suppleness will remain. It would probably be more effective for my hands if I didn't wash them as often or if I reapplied the cream every time I washed them; however, I am a little disappointed that the cream does not penetrate deeper to withstand regular and thorough hand washing. up to my elbows, and I try to apply it more thoroughly to my hands several times a day. A few other things I love about this treatment is that it is made here in the USA and is not tested on animals. It's also a good alternative to heavily perfumed hand creams as it doesn't have a strong smell. I'll update my review if I notice more noticeable improvements in my hands with continued use; But now I'm giving it a solid 4 stars.
