Review on 🔊 SoundBot SB510 HD Waterproof Bluetooth Speaker: Mini Wireless Shower Speaker with Handsfree Speakerphone & Built-in Mic by Shannon Saunders

[8/25/17 edit: I still use this regularly and haven't had any issues. I can still recommend it unreservedly. Early 2018 edit: It stopped charging so I had to replace it. Still kept decent.] I mostly use it in the shower to listen to music/audiobooks/podcasts and it's great - way better than I honestly expected. Sound is very clear and volume is good, although it seems to use proximity to tiles or walls to make it louder. So moving it away from the wall while playing music does seem to drop the volume, but even away from the surface it's more than acceptable. Bluetooth works flawlessly and I had no trouble connecting to multiple different devices. Devices so far (mainly my phone, a Nexus 5X). And I've had no loss of connection, no audio distortion, etc. Really great stuff here, better than the Bluetooth connection on my soundbar's wireless subwoofer. And all the buttons work perfectly, although that's my only complaint. The forward/back buttons are similar to the volume up/down buttons - they differ only in short press or long press of the button. This means that sometimes you want to turn down the volume, but instead accidentally skip a track because you didn't press long enough. It also means you may need to spend a little more time turning it up and down to get to your ideal volume. It's not a problem, but definitely an annoyance that could be fixed with more knobs or something. I don't think it's enough to bring the rating down to 4/5, but maybe 4.5/5 if such ratings were possible here. . The suction is good, but you have to make sure it's wet before you put it on the wall, otherwise it will eventually fall off. So all in all a great device that does what it's supposed to. I highly recommend it and will update this review if I run into any issues in the future.
