An affordable alternative, ideal for video conferencing on the go

This is a bright, soft, easy-to-use, durable and well-equipped portable LED video light. It's small enough to fit in my pocket but has enough power to block out the blotchy sun. I particularly like the color and temperature range (CCT). It goes from 2500 Kelvin to 8500 Kelvin. So I can easily adjust the light color to the ambient light in the room, be it sunlight or warm incandescent bulbs. The light has a slight purple cast to it, but I prefer it over the green cast that is often an alternative. CRI seems decent too, so skin tones look natural. Again better than most cheap LED lights. It charges via USB-C and comes with a fairly long charging cable. The end of the charging cable is USB-A. However, no charger is included, which is fine as I have dozens of old USB-A chargers lying around. The user interface is very user friendly. I particularly like that the on/off switch is mechanical. This keeps the batteries in your pocket from running out. With electronic switches, draining the phantom battery often kills the device before you need it. One of the things I love most about this flashlight is the suction cup mount. It turns out it's not just the sucker. The bottom of the mug is actually a reusable sticky surface that sticks to almost anything. Also slightly porous surfaces. I attached it to the back of the iPad Pro's keyboard case. The regular suction cup will never stick, but this one stays on until I remove it. And you can rinse it under water to restore its stickiness. My only wish is that the plastic cover that comes with the sticky side protection kit is more durable. This is a disposable case. I'll replace it with a plastic stand if I find one. I'm a film director and I have several professional video lights. Most of these lights are pretty expensive and not something you'd toss in your bag for an impromptu Zoom meeting. In my opinion, this is a good balance between affordability and quality. And nowadays it has become much more necessary to look decent during video conferences.
