The splines on the tie rod were poorly cut causing things to fall all the way down before they were properly installed. This caused the linkage to loosen mid-ride, nothing like a loss of steering on a crest. Removed the whole block to get at the splines on the underside of the engine, rough cut out, same on the steering shaft, now they are fully hooked and seated properly. If you buy this table, assemble all the shafts before installing in the car. Lying on your back under the dashboard, it is difficult to verify correct installation.
