Value for money for the economical photographer and/or videographer. The build quality is adequate and the mana and head tilt are good enough to get the job done. I was surprised at how smooth it is and knowing the cost, I'm most surprised by the head itself. There is a built in bubble level which really helps to get everything set up correctly. I do a lot of landscape photography and a sturdy tripod is essential for this type of photography. I loaded this tripod along with my 5d mk4 and a 10-18 lens and drove to the beach. Some of the shortcomings of this tripod were apparent even before the first shot. There is no space to place the weight to keep the tripod in place. I fixed it by throwing sandbags over my feet and it seems to have worked. The closures on the legs are all made of plastic. This can become a problem later on as these parts are used frequently and wear out over time. The legs are a bit flimsy for my personal taste, but that makes the tripod light and that's important to me, especially as my style and type of photography is related to working outdoors. I can run for an hour or more with my gear in tow before I'm ready for a single shot. Being able to easily carry your gear makes this a fun hobby. The pros definitely outweigh the cons with this tripod and I particularly like the included pan/tilt video head. If you are expecting a professional level when purchasing, you will be disappointed. But if you need a training tripod or are on a budget, I have no hesitation in recommending this tripod. It has a lot of the nice features you need without the astronomical price tag. I will be recommending it to you and friends I know now as I've had a few opportunities to shoot with it. It is great.
