This is "hot " buy because the player gets hot physically
Please invest some more money and buy a good brand player, like Toshiba, Sanyo, etc. This Coby player will very hot after only an hour of play. You cannot even touch the bottom of the player as it is very hot. For this reason I had to send the player back. My played DVD was also damaged by the heat. Also, the player is not magnetically shielded, so if you put the player next to the TV, you will see "pink" spots on the TV screen.
