Photos and descriptions are misleading. My 3 year old is an average height, height and weight, this toy fits a 1 year old. The height is not adjustable, the front wheels do not spin. The wheel is not strong and the rider can only move straight ahead. FYI, kids love to turn around and don't have to leave the boat completely to do it. In general, the scooter sucks. Luckily she loves unicorns, otherwise we would have sent this toy back. The price of this toy is also disrespectful, we could order a battery powered ship for this price!
