The instructions are clear enough but it took me hours to interpret them correctly. When it says "wrap around the tree," I assumed it meant wrapping around the tree several times to take up the sagging. However, this is not necessary and makes height adjustment almost impossible! And I don't play with rattles. I had to reconnect it dozens of times to get it right. But I have six kids here, ages 7 to 12, and they love it. The main problem is making it tall enough that a five foot tall seventh grader doesn't bottom out without making it too big and dangerous for a seven year old little sister. The children would combine obstacles from another set from another manufacturer and rearrange them until they had a set of obstacles they could actually overcome. The problem with trying to move obstacles is that the harness is about 9 feet off the ground so a ladder is used. Requires a lot of adult attention. The strap is as tight as I can get. But if someone falls or slips, which happens almost every time, the harness will bounce like an elastic cord, sending all obstacles dangerously flying. I'm glad I got it. But don't think you can put it on and ignore it.
