This gym is PERFECT for chinchillas. I've bought little gyms and jungle tunnels at our local pet store, and our chins can run, jump, and climb to their hearts' content, but they needed more. I'm telling you, these two are great at climbing this thing. They gnaw ropes, climb, run and jump like there's no tomorrow, which is very useful to them. We did not attach the panel to the ceiling to avoid damaging it. We secured the climbing frame against tipping with two curtain rods and that helped. If you have chinchillas, ferrets or any other animal that needs to climb as it is their natural habitat, you need a jungle gym!
