As several reviewers have pointed out, the best way to add extra support to this stand is with brackets. I used simple L-shaped brackets narrow enough to fit perfectly on either side of the glass slots. The wood is nice but cheap and very light. It really does what it's supposed to do, and since it was relatively cheap, there's not much to complain about the quality of the materials. So overall it looks good, I just wish the wood was a better quality and the spots to hang the jars were a bit wider as I have 2 large jars that don't fit together.
