When I first replaced my garage door opener I did not replace the brace on the door. The old one seemed to fit. Unfortunately it isn't. The procurement of a spare part for the LiftMaster made the difference clear. The slightly different shape of the LiftMaster part required me to move the new bracket slightly. If necessary, I drilled additional holes in the door and screwed the LiftMaster in a few minutes. I had no problems installing it and the part works as it should. I recommend it as a good substitute.
