I bought this to replace the shift boot on my '96 Ford Escort. The original boot was a rubber boot and it's ugly, but mine ripped and fell apart. So for $5 I figured why not replace them. My first complaint about these boots was that they had a strong chemical smell from the packaging, I left them outside for an hour or two before putting them in the car to let the smell go. luckily I don't smell it anymore. It feels good and seems pretty durable for only $5. I don't really like the chrome piece on top, but you can't even see it as the gear knob on my Escort is quite large. The seams look nice too. What bothered me a little was that the stitching came undone on one end, luckily they were covered during installation so you don't see them at all. It took a bit of finishing work to fit my specific car properly, but I was able to install it in the end and it looks professional. I won't hold a grudge against him for that, considering it's not a direct marketing of my make and model, so that's understandable. All in all these are very nice and professional looking boots at an amazing price. If you're looking for something nicer than your OEM boot, this might be the option for you.
