My 12 year old daughter chose this for her father for Christmas after reading other reviews saying it was very good for back scratching but also looked like a joke gift. Thinking she was getting two for the price of one store, she was very excited to buy this for her father, who goes through back scratches like unruly socks and, to her dismay, uses every available nook and object to make it easier in the back. (doesn't matter who might be around) He's also been a landscape architect for 17 years. Well, the rake just seemed perfect. While he liked the humor and solid construction, he wasn't as enthralled with the actual scratching abilities as the others - the teeth didn't feel curved enough and were a little awkward to hold, and not everything is as comfortable to hold in hand. However, if you ask my daughter what he told her, it was a great gift that he uses every day! cute, made everyone smile and it was just as advertised. I can't ask for more!
