Exactly what I had in mind!
I wanted a "gate" that would be the exact width, something that would let the wind blow through, and be easy to take down and put up. This turned out to be exactly what I wanted to make to deter my 12-year-old golden doodle from going down our deck steps. She's too old to try to jump over. With the bungy cords, it's pretty secure. I hated having her sit with us on the deck and have her leash get caught up in our chairs and things. I wrapped all edges with duct tape, cut a slit in some noodles to make a top and bottom, and used a few bungy cords to secure. So much better than a standard pet gate!
