The fork is blunt and the individual tines are so wide that it is very difficult for a 3-year-old child who knows how to use a fork to prick food effectively. Spoon is not deep enough to pick up loose food, especially peas. Even applesauce drips effortlessly over the rim. This spoon is almost as wide as a regular teaspoon. Verdict: They provoke frustration and food splatters, but the cartoon pen is fun, so after a week of testing they were moved to the play kitchen.
