Only thing that works on exposed concrete

We have a completely concrete yard and two dogs, so after a month or two their favorite spots (where they like to pee) start to smell pretty bad. We've tried everything from plain green vinegar to white vinegar and even chlorine-based surfactants and nothing changed the awful smell. Although this material is expensive, and has a 4 mil vapor barrier to cover every square foot of a concrete yard, we thought we might give it a try as nothing else has worked so far. Here's what we did: 1. Pressure washed concrete 2. Dilute the release mortar 1:1 with water if the concrete was wet (the manufacturer recommends a maximum water:product ratio of 2:1 for concrete)3. Spray onto the concrete using a patio brush to get an even coverage and spray lightly with a pressure washer to ensure it doesn't evaporate4. Immediately cover the entire yard with 4 mil thick translucent plastic sheeting (we used HDX brand which comes in 100ft rolls that expand to 10ft wide, the box is surprisingly small for 1000SF) and weighted the rough edges with bricks and gallon bottles. filled with water 5. Left overnight, sheets removed in the morning and to our pleasant surprise we were greeted by a faint smell of mint and absolutely no hint of urine. The concrete was still wet/damp. I recommend starting this process in the evening to minimize evaporation while the concrete is still wet. a year or so because it's a fairly expensive material (we used 1.5 to 2 gallons for about 500 feet of concrete), but we're very happy with the results. We're considering trying other brands of enzymatic cleaners that are 30% cheaper, but haven't done so yet because this stuff is so damn effective.
