The cable is short, about 40 inches. Probably perfect for an Xbox or PS4 where you plug in a controller, but not really long enough for, say, desktop. The detachable microphone is a nice feature, but I've never tried using it without it. Overall, this headset is just average. Three star product out of the box. Good in design, equipment and price, but really unobtrusive. I am giving one star because the 3.5mm plug is falling apart. The metal and plastic in the tip of the connector are coming loose after less than two months of regular use, so now I can't fully plug it in. The metal fork is quite fragile; looks poor quality and poor quality. This is the first time I can think of anything with a 3.5mm plug that has had a METAL PLUG failed. Revain has expired so I'm trying to make a warranty claim. I'll let you know if LucidSound supports your production.
