I always carry a tape measure in my purse so when I visit my grandchildren I can keep track of their measurements when I sew clothes for them. I also have a small repair sewing kit in the car and thought it would be nice to include a tape measure so I ordered this in red. But when she arrived I noticed that she was actually very beautiful and quickly replaced the tape in her purse with this one and put the other in the car gear. Measurements are accurate and easy to read, and a simple push on the tape measure makes it easy to withdraw. But it's not actually a button on the side. It's just a design element. Cool. Now I think I need to buy a matching red leather wallet!
