The finish isn't the best, but if you're going for a rustic look, this works great!

At first I took a chance on buying this knowing that many reviews said color is not desirable but I love vintage and primitive decor so a few cons didn't bother me and I thought, it would only add character to it. When he received the item he confirmed a few things, yes it is badly painted. There are a few rough edges on the inside edges of the lid, so I recommend handling it carefully. I've been looking for a real enameled vintage bread bin for a long time, I just couldn't bring myself to spend $100 on a vintage one. So that fits the bill. Paintwork aside, it looks rustic and feels pretty sturdy.
