I'm always a bit wary of something like this of unknown origin and no certification. As a result, I opened it. On my device, the ground screw barely touched the -DC input. The rest of the interior is clean and tidy. Note that the fuse is only the DC input. To open the box, you only need to remove the top set of screws on the AC and DC sides of the inverter and the DC terminal screws. Only the lower screws have to be loosened. Side threaded screws in extruded aluminum housing. Be careful, the steel mounting screws easily tear off the aluminium. You will also need a #1 thin-shank Phillips head. I ran for several hours with the specified 285 watts without any problems. Note that the reading is not particularly accurate, probably +/- 2% to my Fluke and Greenlee gauges. Considering the price, I'd recommend it for occasional use, but be careful with long-term use, especially near max current.
