It clearly says "insert and remove". However, these are only deposits. Since they were just inserts and I could create suction, I was able to pull them out. This caused some eye discomfort due to the surface area providing the suction. But the remover must be a very small tool with a suction cup to reduce the suction area and possibly damage your eye due to the larger surface area of the inserters. The inserter is designed for a scleral lens so that it can be easily inserted into the eye. NOT for removing scleral lenses. This worked in a pinch, but the enumeration is completely misleading!
