Revainrating 5 out of 5

5 stars for artists on a budget. Paint on marker paper first!

LONG REVIEW BUT PLEASE READ, there are a few minor caveats. All in all great markers. If you've bought other Ohuhu alcohol markers and want skin tones AND the ability to create fine detail with a fine pen, buy these. First photo and second photo: skin tone samples on the sample card and on the 120 set sample card. I drew a square around the cuts. My first impression is that this first issue was not a problem for me, I assure you. Straight out of the bag, ON THE SAMPLE CARD, they bleed more than a set of 120. Don't let that first impression fool you! Bleeding is negligible on marker paper, even barely noticeable in comparison. This is something you can work with after some practice. Examples of a range of skin tones on marking paper in the third and fourth photos. It is important to note that the sample cards provided are textured and the marking paper is smooth and generally less ink absorbent. That's why I gave 3 stars for ease of use for beginners. If you've never used alcohol markers before, you may feel incompetent and frustrated when something doesn't work, but don't believe it. I've been drawing since I was a kid and the most important thing I've learned is that the right technique and using the right paper is all you need to overcome these artistic hurdles and facilitate self-improvement. Test them first, even if they are the same brand. The use of artistic means consists in using their advantages and disadvantages. Once you practice with these markers and see how they respond to different papers and techniques, you're good to go. Third and fourth photo: Redundancy comparison on marking paper. Listen! This bleeding problem does not exist compared to the 120 set! However, I would like to point out two things. Again, this isn't a deal breaker, just something to watch out for to help others use them with confidence. Skin tone #28 Fruit Pink is less pink than R21 Fruit Pink. This is a softer shade of peach. This isn't a negative for me, but I can see that it's a bit confusing when you switch from one skin tone set to other Ohuhu alcohol marker sets that have a fruity pink color. There are two colors in skin tone called yellow ochre. Furnished. Yellow Ocher #101 matches Yellow Ocher Y9 perfectly, while #147 is more like a light mahogany. Otherwise, all the repeating colors match perfectly. Other Notes: I used the Ohuhu 120 set and I expect no less. from a set of 36 skin tones. Compared to my heavy use of CaliArt markers, Ohuhu comes out on top. Working with colors and mixing is fun. TL; DR: I appreciate brands like Ohuhu for making quality art supplies at an affordable price compared to the bigger brands. For that alone 5 stars are deserved. I highly recommend seeing how ADCArtAttack compares Ohuhus to a more expensive brand. That sold me. You CAN create amazing art regardless of your budget.
