At first glance I made them slightly smaller, the tip looks blunt so I figured they weren't very sharp. I cut my hair for 4-5 years and always used kitchen scissors (I know, I know) so I figured I should finally get something better. On first use they cut very well, without any problems and feel good in the hand. . Unfortunately I moved too fast and cut myself, a testament to how sharp they are. Because they are so sharp the cut was clean and I had no problem trimming them. If they continue to work and last a while I will definitely buy again.
