I've had a serrated knife for YEARS that I use almost every day. and it's holding up really well, but recently I've noticed that it's starting to show its age (it's pretty dull now) and have decided to buy another one. I saw these for a very decent price and thought I'd get one or two for myself and use the rest as stockings for family members. Well I had to pin an apology on the boxed knife because after I started using one I noticed that it wasn't nearly as good as the one I already have. Of course the serrated blade is sharp, cuts tomatoes etc easily and cleanly, but one day I noticed that the blade was slightly curved to one side and comparing the sides showed that the blade was no longer as thick like the old one. . I also noticed that the wooden handle is not as long as the old one. Then after using it for a few months I noticed a slight tremor - the front rivet in the grip seems to have come loose a bit, can only imagine how loose it will be in a year (if it lasts that long). I have a feeling I'll be buying another one soon. . .
