I've spent many hours trying to get this thing to work but to no avail. I bought this to share the motherboard USB 2.0 port to power the Hue NZXT LEDs. in an H510i case along with a WiFi/Bluetooth PCIe expansion card (from Asus) TLDR: If you try splitting the USB connector just for power it might work, but the data connection is extremely unreliable. All in all, save your money and time, don't worry about this device. I plugged and booted everything up correctly and it actually worked, but as soon as my computer goes to sleep and wakes up again, Windows beeps to let me know the USB device has been disconnected. You can now go to the Windows Device Manager or use the UsbTreeView program to disable and enable this USB hub for the devices to be recognized again. I also disabled "USB Selective Suspend" in the Windows power management options and went into the Device Manager to select each of the USB devices as well as the USB hub and disable their individual power management setting by unchecking the "Allow the computer to do this turn offβ disabled. . energy saving device. However, none of this fixes anything! Once the computer goes to sleep and then wakes up again, this USB hub will be disconnected from Windows. The NZXT Hue LED system will still show up in UsbTreeView but the WiFi/Bluetooth device will disappear rendering Bluetooth unusable. That leads me to believe that this hub is flawed in that it loses the ability to transmit data to the devices connected to it, but is good enough to power them.
