check header pin connection

I have read many reviews here that this item does not work and some say it does. It seemed like a pretty basic device and cost less than $10, so I bought it. I needed this because my motherboard only has 1 internal USB port and I wanted to connect my Corsair H100i and HX750i to the Corsair LINK software for control. When I first plugged everything in, it didn't work. Upon closer inspection, I noticed that the plastic cover for the 4-pin motherboard connector was not installed properly. I pushed

Works as advertised, got an extra USB port

Most motherboards only have 2 USB ports on the board and in most cases these 2 ports are used for the USB ports on the case. Enter these new "LED" lighted CPU coolers that need to be plugged into one of these USB headers to control LED lighting effects. In many cases you will short out 1 USB port. My AMD Ryzen 7 processor came with a Wraith Prism CPU cooler and this cooler plugs directly into the USB header on the motherboard (I only had 2). The splitter is plugged directly into the integratedโ€ฆ

Extremely useful motherboard USB hub, great price, works great

It's 2020. Motherboard manufacturers should include this part as standard. In the last two decades I have built over 500 PCs. I've used hundreds of M-ATX, E-ATX, ATX cases (etc) from many vendors and it's very rare for a case to have a single USB connection to the motherboard, which most of them have 2 or 3. I recently put together a gaming rig. for a competition in my twitch stream. I used the Thermaltake P3 wall case. This case has *TWO* USB ports to connect to the motherboard. Again, mostโ€ฆ

Data sharing is very unreliable

I've spent many hours trying to get this thing to work but to no avail. I bought this to share the motherboard USB 2.0 port to power the Hue NZXT LEDs. in an H510i case along with a WiFi/Bluetooth PCIe expansion card (from Asus) TLDR: If you try splitting the USB connector just for power it might work, but the data connection is extremely unreliable. All in all, save your money and time, don't worry about this device. I plugged and booted everything up correctly and it actually worked, but asโ€ฆ

Front USB2 ports are back!

I bought a PCI WiFi card for my desktop computer with Bluetooth, but to use BT you need to connect the card to the internal USB connect connector. Since my Lenovo M93 didn't have any free internal USB ports, I was given the choice of either disabling the front USB ports or not using the BT card feature. Enter option 3. The 9-pin TGOOD USB hub worked perfectly. This allowed me to connect the BT function to the card and gave me back my 2 front USB 2 ports. To install I used the method suggested in
