It's 2020. Motherboard manufacturers should include this part as standard. In the last two decades I have built over 500 PCs. I've used hundreds of M-ATX, E-ATX, ATX cases (etc) from many vendors and it's very rare for a case to have a single USB connection to the motherboard, which most of them have 2 or 3. I recently put together a gaming rig. for a competition in my twitch stream. I used the Thermaltake P3 wall case. This case has *TWO* USB ports to connect to the motherboard. Again, most motherboards have a single USB I/O header on the front. I didn't want to send this to a lucky person who only has 2 of the 4 USB ports on the front of the Thermaltake case. The attached photos show the installation during assembly and just before shipping. I bought this USB 9 Pin Male Male 1-2 Female Extender Splitter Cable Connector Adapter to solve my problem. This adapter simply splits the connector in two and allows you to connect all USB ports to the front of the case. No drivers need to be installed. You plug it in and it's quickly recognized by your operating system. It comes with double-sided tape on the back of the adapter so you can install it in your case and keep it in a safe place. I appreciate the price of this item and the overall usefulness. I would recommend this to anyone building a computer setup.
