These coasters seem like a great idea, and in theory they should be. But there are problems that make them not so big. First, one of the purposes of using coasters is to prevent drinks from leaving white rings on polished wood surfaces. With these coasters, you take care of that because the coasters themselves will leave white rings on polished wood surfaces. They prevent water from penetrating the table, but form a seal that leaves marks. So you end up having to put something under the stand - like a stand for your stand. But then they don't stick to the surface, so on a particularly hot day I had a coaster that stuck to the glass and then fell off and everything around me flooded with water. This is one of the things they specifically state that these coasters will not do. In doing so, they fail in one of their greatest claims. Overall, they look decent, if nothing special, and they hold a lot of moisture that, in theory, won't make it onto your table. I will not buy it again and will look for another solution.
