The nightgown is very soft and fits as expected. I got it in a 2XL. I have wide hips, 43 inches, and wanted a very loose fit plus a bit of extra room in case of shrinkage. I am short, just over five-feet tall, and it comes just to the bottom of my knees.I appreciate the pockets. I always want pockets in my clothing.The gown is thin and very good for warm summer nights. The neckline is good, not too high to be uncomfortable nor too low to be revealing.It can be worn as a house dress, although it is very thin. I would not wear it in front of visitors or outside the home due to the thinness. It definitely is not something I would try to pass off as a casual dress.For the fabric, I think it is a little overpriced, although I have no complaints about the quality of the sewing.The nightgown can be machine washed, but according to the label (which had a strange marking that I had to research), it should not be put in a dryer and should be dried in the shade. I live in a small apartment with no place to hang things, so it will go in the dryer on low heat.The nightgown did have a slight odor when I removed it from the packaging.
