Great packaging for these devices! They're packaged like Apple products (and even in a very similar white box). These devices already have batteries. Although page 1 of the owner's manual says "Install Batteries", you do NOT need to do this. They come with batteries and all you have to do is remove the battery isolation tab. I placed all (5) blocks (1) behind the fridge, (2) behind the washing machine under the hoses, (3) under the front of the washing machine, (4) next to the water heater, and (5) next to the drain pump. Pit. Hopefully I'll NEVER need them, but the peace of mind is great! All in all a very pleasant product!
