warm but wrong proportions, does not fit well

Part of the hand is wrongly proportioned to the finger holes (i.e. fingers small enough to fit into the finger holes of hands too small for a glove) . From the outside they look like a good size for my 3.5 year old but his fingers can't squeeze through the holes. My 1.5 year old daughter's fingers barely fit, but the rest of the glove looks like the paws of a giant animal. They're just not quite right, which is a shame as they are very warm.
