I ordered this airbrush kit after reading so many positive reviews about it online - especially in articles claiming it was the best on-the-go system of 2020. I work as a professional makeup artist and thought that this would be a nice, convenient, and easy way to do airbrushing when I travel to weddings and other events.And nothing about this Temptu system - or any components that go with it - has been easy.When I originally ordered it, the package arrived with the pre-filled cartridge (shade buff) missing. The machine had also clearly been used before, as it had fingerprints on it, barely held a charge, and the sides of the box containing the system were open. However, I had a wedding to attend and makeup to apply to five people, so I called Walmart, who said they'd ship out a replacement ASAP with the right color so I could use it by the weekend. (Note: the color choice in the pre-filled cartridge was for me. I obviously wanted to test it on myself before using it on my clients!)I shipped the broken/missing items back to Walmart and received the new system - and while it was new/unopened this time, it was, once again, missing the pre-filled cartridge. I was worried that would happen again, so I bought three empty Pro Pods for the 12 shades of makeup I'd originally ordered. I decided not to make a big deal about the missing cartridge - though when I notified Walmart, they did kindly refund me for part of the purchase price - and tried out what was obviously a brand-new system with one of the pods.It didn't work. The instructions say to use 7-10 drops for a light coverage spray, but nothing came out of the machine. I filled it with 10-15 drops, and even on the highest setting, the best I could do was create drippy splatters of makeup. Something about the needle or the pods didn't seem right, and the machine starting making funny noises as well. There was either no airbrushing or all of the liquid foundation came out in spurts, creating a drippy, messy look. Nothing about it was functional or appealing.I tried several times to make it work - different techniques, different cartridges, different settings - and nothing happened. The makeup either never came out or came out in huge, dripping globs. The system simply doesn't work, and it comes with broken or missing pieces. I've returned (or am in the process of returning) the second airbrush system, the foundation sets, and the extra cartridges (which are supposed to come with a cleaning brush - my three cartridges didn't have that, either. Someone in quality control should be inspecting this).As a professional makeup artist who has worked in the industry for years, I couldn't recommend this to anyone - not even for home use.I was also told by Walmart that they would take down this listing so that no one could buy the product until they figured out why each Temptu kit was missing the pre-filled cartridge - and yet, I'm looking at the listing, telling me I can buy a third one for $195 right now.Save your money and energy. I now have to make two trips to the UPS store and a trip to Kohl's to return this machine and all of the accessories (since they all arrived on different days and all require different labels, and I cannot return all of the items to Kohl's for Walmart shipping except for one). If you're a professional, nothing about the system is worth it. If you're a beginner, or you like to wear makeup/have fun applying makeup, spare yourself the aggravation.I wanted to be able to rave about this product, but it's absolutely awful. I've used $75 sets that were better. I cannot believe I bought this, returned it, received another malfunctioning product, and still see it for sale. Please don't buy this unless you enjoy feeling frustrated.
