So before I get to the point, I'll say the "cons" that I see in this stand: First, the materials don't have that "premium feel" that one would expect . That's not to say it's poorly built or flimsy, quite the opposite, but it doesn't "feel" well built when you put it together. Assembly is easy, I'm not a "constructor". I work on computers, nothing like that and I put it together with no problems, the only thing I needed a second person to do was set up the monitor to make sure it was done right and didn't fall off. packaged as "8-11 lbs" but it held my 16 lb Alienware AW3418DW monitor by default. I increased the pressure a bit to make sure it was stable. Attaches with a C-clamp which is very stable once the monitor is in place and my desk is not "flat" square but decorative. For the price I intentionally got it for ($10 off), it's worth buying. I'll let you know if my opinion changes, but for now I'll say 5 stars.
