These spark plugs fit my 2012 Mercedes-Benz GL450 perfectly. It struck me that these are basically the same parts that Mercedes sells from its dealerships, minus the star logo and the obvious theft markup. They are otherwise identical and should take into account that Bosch manufactures an original part. You will need 8 of these spark plugs, and to install them you will need a 3/8" spark plug socket with a 5/8" drive, a T30 torx bit, a 3/8" ratchet and if you don't have one already have a torque wrench. . This work is very easy to fix with your own hands. Some Mercedes, like the V12, require 16 spark plugs instead of 8. However, most Mercedes only need 6 to 8 of them. Remember these spark plugs do not require anti-seize or any other lubricant on the heads. You go clean. After installation, the spark plugs should be torqued to 18 lb-ft. Like I said, with a little patience, time, and the right tools, this is one of the easiest fixes you can do yourself. The week before I installed them I was a bit busy and wanted to see how willing the general store was to install them. First, most stores won't even take customer-supplied parts, and the parts they sell are significantly more expensive. All in all they wanted $450 to replace all 8 spark plugs. They charged me $150 for parts and $300 for labor. Thinking this was a complete rip off I decided to wait until I had time to do this work myself. Choosing to do the same will save you several hundred dollars. As for her performance; they totally exceeded my expectations. A few weeks before I installed them, I noticed that the acceleration wasn't as good as before. It takes forever for an SUV to take off at a red light. At first I was worried it might be the throttle body or throttle position sensor, but upon closer inspection I found that the original spark plugs were in poor condition. After the exchange, I immediately felt the difference. The smooth acceleration is back and I've even increased my fuel economy a bit.
