Not sure about the gasket in this replacement light. The time will show.

It looks like this direct replacement might suffer from the same ailment as the original. The gasket doesn't look solid enough to prevent leaks over the years. It's thin and doesn't seem to provide the required seal over time. But I will take a wait-and-see attitude towards him. Also, the internal wiring could be better positioned inside the block so that it does not rest against and interfere with the gasket. I felt the need to push it in deeper so it wouldn't bother the seal over time. Just take a look.
