I bought these for my son to wear as pajamas in the summer. I think that's what they're good for. I don't think of these boxer shorts as the kind every kid would wear as their underwear every day. The waist seems fine, but then they swell and become very loose. They are more like very loose shorts than underwear. As others have noted the bow tie had to be sewn shut as it allows you to see inside. The material is very thin and doesn't feel durable. They haven't been with us long enough to comment on durability. In short, I think they're good for the price, but ultimately how you intend to use them will affect whether they're right for you.
