It was around Christmas time when my husband decided to buy a new iPad. His old iPad went to our daughter and her iPad with a broken screen went to our son. But the task of replacing it yourself was very daunting. So it's April and we just made it last night. By far the worst part of this job was removing the previous screen. We had a screen protector on our old iPad holding the glass pieces together, so I recommend using that or duct tape. However, cleaning the frame of broken glass debris was still a task. Our hand vacuum cleaner and the compressed air canister helped a lot in this phase. The remaining steps went much faster. The entire process took about two hours, but most of the time was spent reading, researching directions, and watching YouTube videos. There was a website that came with this product that was supposed to contain videos, but my browser wouldn't let me open it for security reasons. That meant I had to surf the web and make sure I found the right video, so maybe it took me some time, I don't know. But overall I'm very happy with the result. Initial tests showed that the screen responds to touch in the same way as the original, even better than the original due to broken glass interfering with it. It looks and feels new!
