It might work fine in a big car or truck, but too many things get in the way in my small car. When I caught it and didn't catch it, grease had entered the glue channels and no cleaning (without removal) could remove all traces of grease from the channel! So the glue didn't hold and I wasted a lot of time and money! OH YES - parentheses are bullshit too! They have recesses for the screw to tighten the clamp (instead of holes). When you tighten the screw, the clamp swings out of the way and the screw lifts and turns, not tightened!
