Review on Armen Living Cassie Dining Leather Furniture by Larry Cothran

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Attractive chair, moderate comfort

I love the look of this dining chair. Its mid-century style is a rough complement to my Eames lounge chair, which was one of the reasons I bought it. The faux leather covers look very good. The wood veneer is subtle but not as realistic as the manufacturer's photo. Its low seating position keeps the dining area open and uncluttered. It seems sturdy enough for my 6ft 2in height and 185lb weight. Frame. Arrived quickly, easy to assemble. I need six chairs and ordered one to try out - I will not order more. Trouble is, for comfort, it's so-so. The lower seat cushion is a bit stiff and has a slight bulge in the middle. The curved floor cushion exerts a slight internal pressure on the outer thighs. The lower back pillow touches my back in the lower third and ends below the middle of the back. Eating dinner in this state for 30-60 minutes will likely make me shift my weight heavily and want to move to a more comfortable seat in another room.

Pros
  • Great for the kitchen, dining room, home office, commercial space or any living space in your home
Cons
  • Large and chunky
