Ugh, everything was great at first but the rope holding it together broke after just a few weeks. They also never tightened heavily - I had to constantly fix them while the kids were out in the snow. The velcro doesn't really do anything - we ended up buying another pair of boots because any activity in the snow was enough for the velcro or laces to come undone and they kept falling off. This year I definitely ordered lace-up boots. I bought these because it's really hard for me to spend that much money on boots that my kid will wear for a season, but I think you get what you pay for.
