Review on πŸ”§ CTA Tools 3759 Flywheel Mount Bolt Wrench for BMW - Efficient and Compatible by Staxy Asedr

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The tool withstands high torques without failure

This tool is required to access the 4 Torx screws of the rear wheel bearing. The length of the instrument, combined with a thin shaft that's thin enough to clear an ABS tone ring, does just that. To provide additional clearance for handling the tool, I removed the crimping head. The part of the tool shank exposed by removing the bushing has a hexagonal shape and is suitable for conventional mechanical tools. If the repair is being performed on a vehicle, in this case a 2009 Ford Edge, that has been raised on a lift, there is plenty of room with an electrical outlet installed. I was doing garage floor repairs on a jack, which limited space for a #250 torque wrench. for "rock". Removing the bushing helped remove the coil springs. Torx head screws used since 2008/2009, 10 years. And I thought the thin shaft or torx "teeth" might twist or break when the screws are loosened. I thought the tool's teeth might break. nope New bolts are torqued to 85 ft-lbs. Add 10 years of corrosion. It took over 85 foot pounds. force to break the bolts. The instrument has held up well. I didn't use a percussion gun. I thought it might break the tool. I used muscles. Presumably a percussion pistol could have been used. The tool is good quality metallurgy. I recommend it.
