Review on 🎧 Samsung Galaxy Buds Live, Active Noise Cancelling True Wireless Earbuds (Wireless Charging Case Included), Mystic White (US Version) by Theodore Huynh

After hearing the hype and leaking information about them over the last few months, I was looking forward to seeing them released. Now that I have them in my hands (in my ears, to be precise), I have some serious concerns. I wanted it for listening to music and also, if not more importantly, for hands-free calling. For the record, I paired them with my Samsung S8 phones. I interleaved two S8s and got identical results. As a 100% Android customer and anti-Apple, I can honestly say that Apple did everything right with the AirPods. Not only for sound, but also for sending and receiving calls. The Galaxy Buds Live may not be cutting edge in the call quality department. Call Quality: From my first call, the audio I heard from the caller sounded pretty good. Then the audio I heard started to sound a bit distorted and I continued to experience a lot of digital noise. What I've found is that when I put my phone in my pocket or hold my phone and put my hand next to me, it almost seems like I'm losing connection or there's interference. As if the signal was bad. But when I hold the phone vertically or close to my face, the audio seems good. It shouldn't be like that. On the plus side, compared to my Bose headphones, several callers said they sounded equally good on their end. Unfortunately I have to rate the call quality as very bad at the moment. Exactly the same problem after sending the second pair. I'm curious if this is some form of software incompatibility issue with the Samsung Galaxy S8. Since the call quality is very poor and I intended to use them heavily for making calls, they will probably be returned now. Fit: very interesting but beautiful. They're light, comfortable, and once you think they won't fall out, you really feel like they don't exist at all. Music/Audio: Sounds great. I'm not an audiophile with $1,000 headphones. It should sound clean with defined highs and mids and be simply good overall. The sound quality is very good. There was the catch. I noticed the same problem with the signal as with the call quality. When I've been watching/listening to a YouTube video and putting the phone in my pocket or walking away from the phone, mind you just a few feet away, there seems to be interference or poor reception. It keeps breaking off. This shouldn't happen either. Active Noise Cancellation: I have to say that my Bose QC35ii is my benchmark for ANC. That bar is pretty high. Unfortunately, the Galaxy Buds Live don't offer much in terms of ANC technology. If you're looking for the same level when the ANC comes from a good pair of in-ear or in-ear silicone earbuds, this doesn't fit. I've experimented with this. Sitting indoors in a relatively quiet environment, you almost feel like you're noticing the effectiveness of the ANC. Walking down a street with moderate car/traffic noise, I noticed absolutely no noise canceling effect. At best, it's just automatic battery drain. Wear application: good. It would be nice to have a more dynamic EQ option instead of "standard" sound profiles. starts beeping continuously in the ear. The audio playback, in my case a podcast, does not stop, but a continuous tone begins. I can't figure out why, I think it's an overheat warning. I sat outside with my left side facing the sun. It wasn't too hot outside, and the left earcup didn't feel warm or warm in my ear. However, he kept beeping. General characteristics: - In the home office and around the house: not bad. I like the lightweight design. As long as my phone is in front of me and not in my pocket, reception, sound and call quality are good - On the elliptical trainer: Good. Stay comfortable and in place. A light movement when you start to sweat a little. - Walking outdoors: ANC does not exist. I also hear wind noise when it's a bit windy. By fresh I mean a very light and intermittent wind. No hurricane. - By bike: Insane wind noise. Unfortunately it is very annoying. Microsoft Teams online meeting (Android app on S8): I'm told I sound far away and the audio is weak. As soon as I hung up and called the person directly they said I sounded great. Conclusion: I am very disappointed at the moment. This is mainly due to reception problems. The price is great for what I expected. However, for what they are, I'd spend a lot less on a set of wireless earbuds right away, as making phone calls with them just doesn't seem like a good feature to begin with. the same with two separate GBL sets, with two different S8s I got identical results. I hope, as mentioned earlier, that this is just a compatibility issue with the S8. I would like to edit this review to be no less than amazing in the future. Since they're so new, Samsung's phone support might not be that helpful. Given that they were out in just a few days, there wasn't much troubleshooting help. two. I'm torn as to whether or not I should send them back. I really want them to work. But I felt they just didn't fit the bill.
