So they could be a bit clearer with the descriptions in these books. They are actually 2 sets of four books, each with different properties. The 1st set (Number, Animal, Vegetable, Underwater World) has bows, and only the front and back are crumpled. The two insides are only fabric. The second set (Character, Color, Food, Shapes) has no hinges and all four sides are crumpled. crumpled things in it (so 1/3 of the page is slightly crumpled, not the whole page). And when only half of the book is crumpled, it's pretty sad. We bought these books knowing and not caring that some of the words were wrong/weird because our little one loves crunchy things and we wanted her to have something to grab/chew instead of reading. The fact that half of these are only partially crumpled was disappointing. Back to the descriptions, it is clear, but not. The fully crumpled ones are a big hit and just what we were looking for in a toy although I wish they were all crumpled and all looped but hey they're cheap.
