After successfully putting the car into remote programming mode, I made several unsuccessful attempts to program the remote into my 2008 Mazdaspeed 3. The remote actually came with a battery, although the promotional information claims it doesn't. I even bought a pack of CR2025 batteries and replaced the ones already installed just for peace of mind. It has already been pre-checked that there are no problems or malfunctions on the car. Everything related to security works as it should when the key is inserted into the lock cylinder. Unfortunately I think I'll have to go to the dealer and pay them $200+
