I bought the medium/6-8 in coral for my 7 year old. He is about 49 inches tall and usually wears a size 6/7. The robe is a bit big for him, which is what I expected and wanted. He can wear it comfortably (should roll up his sleeves) and I hope he keeps it for a few more years. The robe itself is very soft and cozy and he loves it. It's very thick and warm - perfect for a cold morning. However, be careful with photos. itself looks red, but the coat is definitely coral-pink-orange. The image of a little boy in a robe is a more accurate representation of the color.
