When my friend bought me this dehydrator I had no idea how I was going to use it but damn I was amazed. Firstly, I totally underestimated the amount of appetizers and flavors that could come from there. This thing goes way beyond the world of jerky. You can dehydrate leaf tea, make fruit peels, various spices and sugars, crisp fruits and vegetables and much more. Think chemistry. The dehydrator also comes in really handy as it includes a countdown timer that does just that. Easy to use. Love it. I recommend buying drying foils. I have the silicone nonstick ones, they fit the bowls easily and don't make a mess. The only caveat is that it can be noisy when the timer is on, but otherwise you won't even know it's on. You can go about your business and leave the dehydrator on, it does its job while you're gone, and you can safely leave it on. You will not be disappointed.
