I was initially very impressed with these mugs because they are so beautiful, but remember all that glitters is not gold! Make sure you carefully inspect your purchase for small hidden tears. I bought several of these mugs and used my favorite (when sitting while knitting) for about 4 weeks. then i switched to another (love you to the moon and back) and noticed a tear right on the handle of this mug right after the first use. Examining this crack more closely, I noticed that the crack was covered with glaze or some sort of transparent sealant. I treat all my crockery with the utmost care as I am a collector of fine china. I inspect all my purchased food immediately and thoroughly upon arrival and this tear was only noticed the first time I used it with coffee. The enlarged photos I included in my review clearly show that this tear was present when purchased but was hidden. You can clearly see the crack is covered with icing or something. I have contacted the seller but there is no reply. I am now very disappointed in the quality of these mugs. The least you can do as a seller after you've sold a damaged item is replace it!
