For the price, this karaoke mic delivers and then some others. That's why I gave 4 stars. I've tried it through my speaker system and sang along to a few songs and yes it's not a high performance mic but it delivers solid vocals. With no EQ or effects, it's a bit bass-heavy and has that "sing-in-the-can" quality that's most evident when used without musical accompaniment. But it is not intended for this use. A little EQ and reverb and now you're singing along with the best. I even tried it as an amp mic on my guitar and, hey, it delivered an amazingly professional performance.
