Good smelling but didn't detangle

My daughter loves the smell of this shampoo, but I can't help be annoyed that it doesn't detangle her hair - at all. It cleans well enough and I like that it's free of all the chemicals and additives of other shampoos, however, wondering if I needed some conditioner to go with it.
